Scholarships to Vietnam

SIT Study Abroad offers a merit-based award Scholarship to undergraduate students with a background and demonstrated interest in Asian Studies. The SIT Asia Fund will contribute a portion of the cost for North and Southeast Asia programs, based on student need.

SIT has received funding from the Freeman Foundation for the purpose of educating undergraduates about Asia through our field-based study abroad Scholarship programs. Grant recipients are expected to help promote intercultural understanding and cooperation between the people of the United States and Asia. Priority will be given to students applying to newer programs in the region. Currently these include:

Scholarship
China: Public Health and Traditional Chinese Medicine (Summer Program)
Indonesia: Bali: Arts and Culture
Mekong Delta: Natural and Cultural Ecology
Viet Nam: Culture and Development

Awards are based on academic performance, curricular interest, and the ability to carry out independent field study. Ideally, reference letters are written by faculty in the student's field of study that are relevant to the program curriculum and to the proposed independent study project.

If you would like to be considered for a scholarship from the SIT Asia Fund, please submit the Financial Need Assessment Data Sheet together with your general application materials. The scholarship committee will use the financial need information, together with your other application materials, to select SIT Asia Fund recipients.

If you would also like to be considered for other SIT scholarships, please submit the complete SIT Scholarship Application.
